Oral presentations and posters presented by young researchers (under 35 years old) are eligible for the MD25 Awards Competition.

The following prizes will be awarded:

SESSION PRIZES

1. Systems microbiology, Functional genomics, Gut microbiota
   Best oral presentation (500,00 €)
2. Microbial interactions, Food processing and Future foods
   Best oral presentation (500,00 €)
3. Soil and Plant microbiota: rooting for sustainable agriculture
   Best oral presentation (500,00 €)
4. Microbial ecosystems, Environmental sustainability 
   Best oral presentation (500,00 €)
5. Scaling up microbial solutions for the industry
   Best oral presentation (500,00 €)

POSTER PRIZE
Best poster within all topic session (250,00 €)

Oral and poster presentations will be evaluated by all the participants based on the scientific originality, the methodological rigor of the research and the adherence of the topic presented to the theme of the conference (Microbial Diversity for Empowering the Ecological Transition: Research, Innovation, and Technological Transfer)

Conference participants will vote for

1. the best oral presentation of each session
2. the best poster

by scanning a QR code that will direct them to a Google Form for evaluation. Only one preference can be expressed per category.

Announcement of Awards
The winners will be announced and awarded during the closing day of MD25 conference (Friday 26 September 2025).
